The SCAN Vietnam platform partners, which include Rainforest Alliance, Solidaridad Network, Fairtrade Labelling Organizations, IFOAM and Utz Certified have set the goal of promoting sustainable management of small farmers and businesses, increasing their access to sustainable markets.
Due to affinity of goals, the CDC, Nedcoffee and Simexco, leading institutions in the coffee sector at a national level, have decided to join their efforts into this initiative, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, through the National Extension Centre.
The objective is to shape the National SCAN Platform in Vietnam with the goal of supporting the national implementation of SCAN International and its partners’ objectives, programs and projects, developing technical assistance activities for small producers and sustainable businesses, promoting their access to these markets, jointly and in a coordinated fashion with the partners.
The SCAN Vietnam National Platform is currently being run in collaboration with the Community Development Center (CDC), and Mr. Bạch Thanh Tuấn, Director. To learn more about the project, go to the SCAN Vietnam section. To contact the CDC, email cdc@cdc.org.vn.
